So there are probably a few different recipe’s available for Monkey Bread, but I’ll provide you with what I think will work the best. Here‘s a link to the recipe we followed if you’re interested.

Ingredients you’ll need:

1 Baking Pan/Cake Pan
1 Large Plastic Bag
1 Cup of (packed) Brown Sugar
1 Cup of White Sugar
1/2 Cup of Butter
1 and 1/2 TableSpoons of Cinnamon
4 Cans of Refrigerated Biscuits (We used the Great Value Homestyle Biscuits from Walmart)

Directions for making Monkey Bread:

1. Pre heat the oven to 350°F and pre-butter the baking pan/cake pan you’ll be using. Be sure to butter the pan (you can use non-stick spray as well). Trust me, you NEED to do it or else everything will stick and it won’t be as delicious as you’d like it to be.

2. Fill the plastic bag with 1 cup of white sugar and 1 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon. Zip the bag shut and blend the sugar and cinnamon together.

3. Take the cans of biscuits and cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.

4. Take up to 6-8 pieces of the biscuits and place them inside the plastic bag with the sugar and cinnamon. Zip up the bag and while holding the top of the bag, shake the content inside to coat the biscuit pieces with the sugar and cinnamon. Shake well to the point where the pieces look dark brown. While mixing, try squishing out the pieces inside the bag as well to help spread the contents further on them. (Do this with every piece of biscuit for all 4 cans)

5. Remove the pieces from the plastic bag and place them on the baking pan/cake pan. Layer them as you go.
5a. If you’d like, you can also place things like rasions scattered between layers. You can also use coconut or whatever else you’d like.

6. In a small pan, take the 1/2 cup of butter and cup of brown sugar and mix them together while over a medium heat on the stove. Allow the contents to melt and blend together for a minute (allow it to boil a little bit).

7. Once you have your sugar-cinnamon-covered-biscuit-pieces layered in the pan, pour the butter and brown sugar mixture over the layers. Do this slowly and try your best to evenly spread it.

8. After that’s done, place the pan into the oven and allow it to bake for 35 minutes. The dough will rise a little bit and it should look a glossy light-brown color. Once that’s done, allow the pan to cool for about 10 minutes, then turn it upside down on a plate and allow it to fall out of the pan.

And there you have it! You can then begin pulling it apart and eating it piece by piece. Sometimes, it won’t work out as well as you’d like it do, but it’s definitely delicious! For those of you who don’t know what Monkey Bread is, which was me before making this, it’s basically like little donuts covered with sugar and cinnamon with a glossy sugary coat. It’s absolutely delicious and go for a great snack or dessert!

Give it a shot one day if you’re bored and hungry. It’ll be delicious! Hope you enjoy and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
