Why is this bad some may ask? In simple terms, anyone whom does any of those things listed above, and much more, can go to jail. A majority of people cover songs because they like the songs, thus further promoting it and gaining more listeners to the original artist, gamers put up gameplays and commentaries on games because the games are awesome which definitely raise the sales of the game played because people will see how much fun it is, want to give it a shot, etc. If those acts pass, so much will crumble beneath them and the Internet will not at all be the same. It’s extremely hard to stop those distributing pirated content being as they always find a way around things. And with passing an act or a few acts with good intentions to take those who distribute pirated content down, they’re ultimately punishing all those who use the Internet in whole being as things like YouTube covers and gameplays will be taken down as they’re copyrighted material of a …
